+ <p>ELS is easily accessible by a number of different transport options. The <a href="https://kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro/schedules-maps/010.aspx">Route 10</a> bus runs directly between us and downtown with a stop at the Capitol Hill Link station. Alternatively, it's a 20 minute walk to Capitol hill link station.

- <p>A taxi from SeaTac airport to <strong>Extraordinary Least Squares</strong> should cost $50-60 (with tip) and take about 25 minutes — but might take <em>much</em> more with traffic. App-based ride systems should cost under $40. Mass transit requires one transfer, costs $2.75, and take about an hour.</p>
+ <p>The house is easily accessible by bicycle although Capitol Hill is a serious hill! Here are our best methods for minimizing the hills:</p>

+ <li>If you are coming from the <em>south</em>, taking 12th Avenue to Aloha will minimize the grade.</li>
+ <li>If you are coming from <em>the University of Washington</em>, cross the Montlake Bridge and 520 on the Lake Washington (East) side and then weave your way back to 25th Ave E. Take a quick right on Boyer, left on 24th, and right on Interlaken Blvd East. Interlaken Blvd will become a beautiful wooded bike path before intersecting with Interlaken Drive East. A left onto Interlaken Drive will get you almost to the top of the hill. At the end of Interlaken Drive, take a right on Galer Street and a left on 17th Ave E which will take you to Aloha and to our house.</li>

- <p>At SeaTac airport, follow signs to ground transportation and to the <a href="http://www.soundtransit.org/rider-guide/link-light-rail">LINK light rail</a> which is located at the far left of the main terminal on the check-in level. At the light rail station, you can buy tickets and <a href="http://www.orcacard.com">ORCA cards</a> which are reusable on all Seattle-area mass transit. You can also buy a single-use paper ticket although the paper ticket does not support transfers so the ORCA card will be nearly cost-effective on the ride to ELS from the airport alone.</p>

Note there is <strong>no cellular network</strong> in the University Street station, so you may want to get a copy of these directions before you arrive there.</p>

- <p>The LINK station is underground and the buses you will want to take travel on the street above. In the station, walk in the direction of the train and go up the stairs to the north platform. Follow signs for an exit onto 3<sup>rd</sup> Avenue and University which should be to the left if you are facing the direction of the train. You should exit onto the east side of 3<sup>rd</sup> Avenue. When outside, walk south (i.e., the opposite direction of the train) to <strong>3<sup>rd</sup> Avenue and Seneca Street</strong> (one block back) and look for a large bus stop that lists the 49 route. The 49 leaves frequently (10-20 minutes until midnight and as late as 2:18am). You can install the free software phone application or view the website for <a href="http://pugetsound.onebusaway.org/">OneBusAway</a> for real-time data on bus arrivals.</p>

Tapping your ORCA card at bus entrance will register a "transfer" from the LINK and you will not be charged for the bus. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes to the stop at <strong>E Roanoke St & Broadway E</strong> which will be displayed on a digital display on the ceiling at the front of the bus.</p>

Walk back across the park opposite of the direction the bus was traveling when you dismounted along <strong>East Roanoke Street</strong>. At the other side of the park, you will cross <strong>10th Avenue</strong> and then cross cross <strong>East Roanoke</strong> itself as the road turns to the right. Walk past a small parking lot and park (<strong>Bagley Viewpoint</strong>) and then over a freeway overpass. As it crossed over the freeway, the road's name has changed to <strong>Delmar Drive East</strong> and our house will be on the right 480 meters (0.3 miles) from the bus stop.</p>

- <h2>Parking</h2>
- <p>Delmar Drive East has bikes lanes on both sides (<strong>Yay!</strong>) but no street parking. The house has a carport (where the silver car is parked in the picture) which can might be able to fit a car in addition to the car that lives at the house if we have advance notice. Additionally, there is also a small driveway (where the blue and black cars are parked in the picture) that is normally unused but can fit two cars — especially if one is willing to be parked in.</p>
- <p>Street parking seems to be available on <strong>14th Avenue E</strong> which is the nearest cross street on Delmar and is very near our house. Short-term parking is also available in the <strong>Bagley Viewpoint</strong> parking lot.</p>
