When visiting us, please enter through the building's - back door which you can find in an alley between - 34^th and 35^th streets which one can - reach from either Troll Ave or Albion. You'll see a garage door - with large metal bars and a small door to the left (pictured - below). Call us when you are outside this door and we will let you - in.

When visiting us, walk through the metal gate and find our main door right beyond it. Please keep in mind that our doorbell is not currently functional. Call one of us when you are outside the door and we will let you in.

Airport Directions

A taxi from SeaTac airport to Extraordinary Least - Squares should cost $50-60 (with tip) and take about 30 - minutes â but might take much more with traffic. Mass - transit requires one transfer, costs $2.75, and take about an - hour.

Mass Transit Directions

At SeaTac airport, follow signs to ground transportation - and to - the LINK - light rail which is located at the far left of the main - terminal on the check-in level. At the light rail station, - you can buy tickets - and ORCA cards which - are reusable on all Seattle-area mass transit. You can also - buy a single-use paper ticket. If you buy an ORCA card, you - will need to tap it on a yellow terminal both before you - enter, and after you exit the train. The terminal at the airport station - is before the ticket machines, so you will need to backtrack slightly - to tap your card if you buy it at the airport.

Take the LINK train until the University - Street station which take 36 minutes and stop at 11 - stops. At University Street, you will need to change to a bus to - Fremont. Note there is no cellular network in the - University Street station, so you may want to get a copy of these - directions before you arrive there.

The LINK station is underground and the buses to Fremont - travel on the street above. In the station, walk in the - direction of the train and go up the stairs to the north - platform. Follow signs for an exit onto 3^rd - Avenue and University which should be to the left if you are - facing the direction of the train Avenue. You should exit - onto the east side of 3^rd Avenue, walk north - (again, the same direction of the train) - to 3^rd Avenue and Union Street - (one block up) and look for a large bus stop with several - shelters with the following buses numbers written on - it: 40, 26, 28. These buses all come down - 3^rd Avenue frequently and should arrive within - 10-15 minutes at almost any time except between midnight and - 5:00am. You can install the free software phone application - or view the website - for OneBusAway - for real-time data on bus arrivals.

Take any 40, 26, or 28 bus North - to Fremont. Tapping your ORCA card at bus entrance - will register a "transfer" from the LINK and you will not be - charged for the bus. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes to - the stop at FREMONT AVE and N 34TH ST which - will be displayed on a digital display on the ceiling at the - front of the bus.

Take a right after immediately exiting the bus and take a - left when you come to the intersection (Fremont Ave & - 34^th). Walk down 34^th (you should pass - this - sculpture of people waiting, usually dressed up, on the - other side of the street) as you walk toward, and then under, the - enormous "Aurora" bridge and across Troll - Avenue. Extraordinary Least Squares is in a - building called St. James Tower on the - left.

The best way to get to our apartment is through the - apartment's back door which means you will take a left on - Troll Ave (up the hill) and then a right down the first - alley you come to. You can follow the directions under - "Visit Us" above. Call one of the proprietors when you have - arrived outside.

Take the 49 North toward Broadway and the University District. Tapping your ORCA card at bus entrance will register a "transfer" from the LINK and you will not be charged for the bus. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes to the stop at E Roanoke St & Broadway E which will be displayed on a digital display on the ceiling at the front of the bus.

The bus will drop you at the southwest corner of Roanoke Park. Walk back across the park opposite of the direction the bus was traveling when you dismounted along East Roanoke Street. At the other side of the park, you will cross 10th Avenue and then cross cross East Roanoke itself as the road turns to the right. Walk past a small parking lot and park (Bagley Viewpoint) and then over a freeway overpass. As it crossed over the freeway, the road's name has changed to Delmar Drive East and our house will be on the right 480 meters (0.3 miles) from the bus stop.

Parking

Street parking is available around our building but be - sure to read signs closely because our guests have been - ticketed. The closest free street parking is on Troll - Ave. It is two hour parking during the day but is - unrestricted overnight and on Sundays. Parking on - 35^th is generally free except between 8pm and - 12am and the signs can be hard to see. There are two - self-serve pay lots on either side of the building in the - alley between 34^th and 35^th but read - the signs carefully before you park because some of the - space is shared with businesses during the week. If you - contact us well in advance, we might be able to get - permission to use an unused spot within our building from - the building manager.

Delmar Drive East has bikes lanes on both sides (Yay!) but no street parking. The house has a carport (where the silver car is parked in the picture) which can might be able to fit a car in addition to the car that lives at the house if we have advance notice. Additionally, there is also a small driveway (where the blue and black cars are parked in the picture) that is normally unused but can fit two cars â especially if one is willing to be parked in.

Street parking seems to be available on 14th Avenue E which is the nearest cross street on Delmar and is very near our house. Short-term parking is also available in the Bagley Viewpoint parking lot.
